A Different Approach

I doodled really quick characters during class this morning cause we weren't doing much. I don't normally do this cartoony stylized approach, but I decided to give it a shot. I ended up having had lots of fun with it.

Board, Composition & Staging Studies

Baguio

A few days ago we went to Baguio for a 5 day vacation. Here are some of the quick sketches I did of the place.

The next two are drawings of the really big pine tree that was near the place we stayed in. It's the same tree, I just wanted to draw it again after the first drawing, to see what it'd look like as a gesture drawing. I actually like the second one better.

Some Lessons From Hans Bacher

Storyboard Studies

Still learning how to storyboard. I got this scene from an episode from Avatar, Trying to learn a few tricks from people who know how to do it well. There's also a really good chance that I'll be working on a Japanese theme for my thesis so this scene really caught my attention.

Carmelo Incognito - Walk Cycle Study

A walk cycle I did for Carmelo Incognito, a character from last year that I didn't get to develop too much anymore.

Hey! You've Got To Hide Your Love Away

A short stop motion I shot for Experimental Animation finals. This took me the whole day to shoot, (from something like 10am to 6pm, more or less) and took the whole night to edit. It was very tiring, but still fun to do. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna do something like this again soon.

I had the whole term to come up with an idea for this project, but it didn't pop up until a few days before submission. I just woke up one morning with the idea and shot this nonstop for one whole day, I didn't even think about eating (or taking a bath) until I was done shooting. Haha.

Enjoy!

Self Portrait

This is a more realistic version of me without my glasses, drawn for life drawing class.
