More scribbles from animal anatomy class. These drawings are probably the closest I can get to having a real dog..

I think this is a lab.

German shepherd, I think.

And I have no idea what breed of dog this is.

The Wizard of OZ Day 2 - Colors

A continuation of my fascination of The Wizard of OZ. (Skottie Young is just incredible) I studied the colors this time. I think I'm finally starting to get the hang of digital painting, I think. These were real quick and I didn't give much attention to the details of the drawing (although I almost never do anyway, hehe), I just wanted to study the colors this time. I did these during class, with the help of the all-powerful cintiq.

Boards & Backgrounds

I got a hold of Marvel's version of The Wizard of OZ today. Awesome, awesome artwork and storytelling. Studied the backgrounds & compositions as soon as I set my eyes on those pages.

Animal Anatomy - Horse

Taking up animal anatomy class right now, I should have taken this subject a few terms ago as a sophomore, but only got to take it this term.

It's so much fun to do plain old anatomy & fine art after so much animation subjects (plus thesis!). This class feels like a break from all that, so I'm really enjoying it. I haven't been doing realistic drawings in a while too so this is probably like a back to fundamentals drawing class for me.

12 "x 18"
This first one looks like that chart you see on the supermarket when you're buying meat. Haha.

I really like this second one.

This is the first time I've ever touched coloured pencils. Haha! I wasn't sure of what I was doing, so I kinda played with it & explored a little. I'm happy with what came out though, and fortunately, so was my teacher. Hahaha.

UNIT 393

Some early concept art for my thesis short film, UNIT 393.

It's still in the pre-production stage, a long way to go, but I got my fingers crossed. Wish me luck! Rock n roll.
